- Prepare the kofta mixture
- In a bowl, mix ground meat, onion, garlic, herbs, and spices until well combined.
- Shape the kofta
- Form into small meatballs or oval shapes.
- Make the sauce
- Heat olive oil in a pan or tagine. Add garlic and tomatoes, then spices. Simmer for 10–15 minutes.
- Cook the kofta
- Add meatballs to the sauce. Cover and cook for 20 minutes until fully cooked.
- Add eggs (optional)
- Crack eggs over the sauce and cook until set.
- Serve
- Garnish with fresh herbs and serve hot with bread.
