Easy DIY Mango Gummy Candy

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup mango puree fresh or frozen, thawed
  • 3 tbsp sugar adjust to taste
  • 3 tbsp gelatin powder
  • 2 tbsp water for blooming gelatin
  • Optional: a few drops of lemon juice for extra tang

Equipment

  • Small saucepan
  • Whisk
  • Silicone gummy molds or ice cube tray
  • Measuring cups & spoons
  • Spoon or dropper

Method
 

  1. Bloom the Gelatin
  2. In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over 2 tbsp water. Let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
  3. Prepare Mango Mixture
  4. In a small saucepan, combine mango puree and sugar. Heat over low-medium heat until warm and sugar dissolves.
  5. Add Gelatin
  6. Stir the bloomed gelatin into the warm mango mixture until fully dissolved. Remove from heat. Add lemon juice if desired.
  7. Pour into Molds
  8. Carefully pour the mixture into silicone molds or an ice cube tray. Smooth the tops with a spoon.
  9. Chill & Set
  10. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm.
  11. Unmold & Enjoy
  12. Gently pop gummies out of the molds and store in an airtight container in the fridge.

Notes

For firmer gummies, add an extra 1 tsp gelatin.
Experiment with other fruit purees like strawberry, pineapple, or kiwi.
Lightly dust gummies with cornstarch or powdered sugar to prevent sticking.
Keep refrigerated for up to 1 week for the best texture.
