  • 4 Italian sausages pork, chicken, or turkey
  • 3 bell peppers mixed colors, sliced
  • 1 large red onion sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes optional

  • Hoagie rolls or sandwich buns

Method
 

  1. Preheat Oven
  2. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper or foil.
  3. Prepare Ingredients
  4. Slice the bell peppers and onion. Place them on the sheet pan with the sausages.
  5. Season
  6. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle garlic powder, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Toss the veggies to coat evenly.
  7. Roast
  8. Spread everything out evenly. Roast in the oven for 20–25 minutes, flipping sausages halfway through, until veggies are tender and sausages are browned.
  9. Serve
  10. Serve hot as-is, or load sausages and peppers into toasted hoagie rolls with melted cheese for the ultimate sandwich.
